Tips from our top merchants

Tips from our top merchants

We have seen multiple merchants cross over $100,000 and beyond of sales. These agents take steps to get their positioning and marketing right regarding Slice Pay. Here are their top tips:

1. Promote Slice Pay before a customer is looking to purchase

If a customer has the cash to pay for their trip today Slice Pay is not the product for them. Slice Pay is best suited to customers who are contemplating travel but do not yet have the savings for their trip. It is important to be marketing to these customers. Between the customer saving and booking, travel product prices will increase. Slice Pay acts as a digital saving product for customers allowing them to lock in today’s prices and protect themselves from price hikes.

Our tops agents run email promotions to customers (see an example EDM here) and consistently post on their socials using our social templates. We have seen agents are particularly successful when they run paid promotions using our social templates and are able to target new customers.

‍

2. Explain the value of using Slice Pay

Our top agents understand the value of Slice Pay, they explain it clearly to customers and will often include landing pages (see an example here) and FAQs about Slice Pay on their website. Particularly they highlight the savings customers often have using Slice Pay.

‍

3. Have Slice Pay visibly present

Our top agents ensure customers see Slice Pay everywhere. You cannot show the customers the Slice Pay logo enough! This includes featuring Slice Pay on their website, social media, email signature and in store. See How should I promote Slice Pay for ideas. If you would like more marketing assets or curated assets to common locations let us know (contact us: cara@slicepay.travel)

‍

4. Train the entire sales team on how to use and talk about Slice Pay

Top agents will train their entire sales staff on how to use Slice Pay so travel consultant can answer common questions. You can show your team this video on how to use Slice Pay or book in time for a training session here.

‍

5. Offer Slice Pay for every sale

Top agents include Slice Pay with every quote they do and/or list Slice Pay as a payment option for every sale. This reminds customers that the agent has a lay by option which is trusted and provides a great opportunity to explain how Slice Pay works. See here for more details on how to sell Slice Pay to customers along with examples.
